The Eternal Flame Project was established as a response to the urgent need for support and healing among domestic violence survivors. Recognizing that tattoos can serve as a powerful symbol of reclaiming one’s body and identity, EXtra Ink Tattoo created this project to provide a safe space for individuals to express their journey toward healing.

The History Behind The Eternal Flame Project

The Eternal Flame Project was born from a deeply personal moment in my life. Sitting in my childhood bedroom, far from my parents and caring for my newborn while watching my toddler play, I found myself reflecting on one of the hardest challenges a person—especially a woman and a mother—can face. It was a sad, scary, and lonely time, and I realized I had nowhere to turn for support or healing. In that moment, I understood that I could help others by taking that first step—the “ACTION” needed to begin the journey of recovery.

Motivated by this experience, the Eternal Flame Project aims to empower survivors of domestic violence by transforming their painful experiences into narratives of resilience and strength. Through EXtra Ink Tattoo, we offer tattoos that symbolize rebirth and empowerment, helping individuals reclaim their bodies and their stories after trauma.

This project is not just about artistic expression; it plays a crucial role in the healing process. By providing a tangible reminder of strength and dignity, we hope to help survivors move forward on their paths, no longer defined by their past but empowered by their journey toward recovery.
